Spooky Halloween Luminaria

This is my Spooky Halloween Luminaria.  Since it is getting to be that spooky time of the year again I wanted to do something special for Halloween. This Spooky Halloween Luminaria looks beautiful with just a flameless tea light but looks just as beautiful when all the lights are on.  I love the warm glow that radiates from the tea light!

Luminaria Template- SVG file

  1.   Download the Lumiaria Template-SVG file.
  2.   In the Cricut Design Space, select UPLOAD IMAGE.
  3.   Select VECTOR UPLOAD
  4.   Select BROWSE
  5.   Locate the Luminaria Template – SVG file and select it.
  6.   Provide an Image name and tags
  7.   SAVE IMAGE.
  8.   In the UPLOAD IMAGE section select the Luminaria Template
  9.   INSERT IMAGE.

You are now ready to start creating the Luminaria.
Once you have the Luminaria Template in the Cricut Design Space you will need to resize it.
The Spooky Halloween Luminaria in my video is 7 inches tall by 4.5 inches wide. In order to achieve this dimension the Luminaria template should measure 7 x 5 inches wide.  The added half inch is for the tab on the side of the template.
Once sized, duplicate the Luminaria Template so that you have 4 templates in total.
The velum paper is cut to 6.75 x 4.25 so that it will cover the lattice portion of the template but does not protrude over the edges.
Once the velum paper has been added to the Lumiaria Template and decorate each side.
Attach the Luminaria Templates by adding adhesive to the TABS and adhering it to the non-tabbed side of the template.  This will create a long strip containing all 4 templates.
Adhere the remaining TAB to the last template to form the Luminaria.
All that is left to do is to create the bottom insert and a top cover (optional) and you are done.
Have fun!

      Hi Ann,

Thank you for visiting my site and your comment.

I am working on having a “download button,” in the future. This website was just recently created and I am still working out the “bugs.”

Right now once you have clicked on the link and it brings the picture up, please left click on you mouse to “Save Picture As” to your computer as an svg. file. In the Cricut Design Space, choose “Upload Image,” then “Vector Upload” and then upload the svg. file.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions and thank you again for visiting my site at: http://www.sassis-scrapbooking.com

      Kind Regards,

      Sassi

I must be missing something. I can’t find where to download this beautiful luminary. Could you tell me where I can find the download? Thanks for your time.

Hello, and thank you for your comment.

I have sent you the SVG file to your email address. I hope you don’t mind.

You will need to upload the svg file to the Cricut Design Space and then duplicate it 3 times in order to have the four sides of the luminaria. Just add your own image designs for the luminaria sides and you are done.

If at all possible would you email me a picture of your finished luminaria. I would love to see it.

      My email is: sassi.scrapbooking@gmail.com

      Kind Regards,

      Sassi.
